Welcome to December!!!

Good afternoon!!
Now that December is here, it is a race to the finish to see if we can get all the wonderful things we want to do, done.

I finished up my Christmas Cards yesterday, and the only thing that is holding me back from sending
them off, is my oldest daughters school photo's. I have had the other kids photo's for at least a month now. Weird.

Here are a few posts of the projects I finished yesterday. The first card is a Welcome Home surprise for a friend of mine. I hope it gets to her house before she does. The second card is for an ill employee of mine. He had major surgery, and
need lots of prayers.

From here is where the Christmas fun begins. Three cards to finish all my card giving away. I took is so easy this year. I didn't do one swap, and I didn't sell any either. For whatever reason, that I really can't recall, I couldn't find any time.

One project I am trying to follow along with are the Tim Holtz, 12 Days of Christmas tags. His are so GREAT! Please check out him projects on his blog.

Day One
Day Two
Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to take a look at my blog! If it was worth your time, please leave me a comment. I love to read them!!

Have a great day!!!

Two Days In A Row...

As some of you know, my husband is out of town for a few days, so that leaves me with lots of crafting time. You can probably tell from the two post in one week.
I sell Stampin' Up. I am my own best customer. I have a personal rule that after I put my new stamp set together, I DO NOT put them away until I have used the set at least once. So, last week when our kids went back to school, I started chipping away at the pile. I can't remember how many sets were sitting there, or for how long, but going into yesterday I had eight sets. Today I am down to six.

The first project is not a card. This started out as a gift for a friend, but in the end, I liked it so much I am keeping it for myself!

This is a 6x6 piece of chipboard, turned into a wall plaque. Products used:

Patterned paper: Candy Lane DSP (Stampin' Up); Glossy Paper: Stampin' Up; Stamps: Key To My Heart (CTMH), Refuge and Strength (Stampin' Up); Ink: Olive Green Stazon, Timber Brown Stazon Scattered Straw and Walnut Stain (Distress Ink); Embellishments: Pretties Kit (Stampin' Up), Blooms (Prima), Metal Flowers (Tim Holtz Idealogy), Beaded Trim (ebay), Cinnamon (Stickles), Walnut Stain, Antique Linen (Distress Stickles)

Here are a couple cards I made. I used the same set for two cards, due to the fun I was having watercoloring the flowers.

Products Used:
Cardstock: Bermuda Bay, Old Olive, Crushed Curry, Whisper White, Glossy Cardstock (Stampin' Up); Patterned Paper: Raspberry Lemonade (Stampin' Up); Ink: Bermdua Bay, Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry (Stampin' Up); Stamps: Great Friend, Fifth Ave. Floral (Stampin' Up); Dies: Little Leaves (Stampin' Up); Border Punch: Eyelet Punch (Stampin' Up)
Next... this card was also made with 100% Stampin' Up
Cardstock: Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango, Soft Suede, Whisper White; Ink: Dusty Durango; Stamps: Fifth Ave. Floral, Holiday Best; Embossing Folder: Fifth Ave. Floral
Once again, thank you so much for looking, and come back often!!!!
Have a super day!!

A few new ones...

Good morning! I hope everyone had a super Labor Day weekend!!! I had the weekend off, but actually had to work on Labor Day.

I would like to share some cards I made last week! One I made for an old friends birthday and the other is one that I was just itching to use the stamp set. Here goes.....

This card was really fun to make. I used a sketch from an AMAZING book called "Wishes", which I got from my AWESOME Close To My Heart demonstrator Tracey! This book is full of great sketchs and ideas.

Products used:

Cardstock: SU Very Vanilla, Patterned Paper: SU Cottage Wall, Glitter Paper (manufactuer unknown), Velvet Paper (The Paper Company)Ribbon: Taffeta Sage Shadow, Brad: Close To My Heart, Stamp Set: SU Chic Boutique, Ink: Stazon Timber Brown, Tim Holtz Distress Walnut Stain, Punch: SU 5 Petal Flower, Tim Ideaology Metal Flower Elements.

I had to mail this card off right way to my friend because I was running late for her birthday.

I have been itching to use this new Stampin' Up stamp set from the 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalog. This card is just for fun and will probably get donated!

Products used:

Cardstock: SU Old Olive, **NEW**In Color Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White; Ink: SU Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry; Stamps: Pendant Park, Chic Boutique

All SU products used. That is pretty hard for me to do with all the cool toys out here.

Thank you for taking the time to peek into ny blog.

Come back soon, and visit often! Have a good day!

I was a busy girl....

Hi blogging friends....Well yesterday was the first day of school and I hit the craft room. I want to share the five cards that I made. We have a few birthdays and events coming up in our family. I made a beautiful card for my hubs for our anniversary, but I took it work so he wouldn't get a glimpse of it. I will take a photo soon for a share.

Here we go....

This card is made with the Stampin' Up NEW In Colors (Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, Soft Suede), Classy & Fabulous Stamp Set, Razzleberry Lemonade DSP, Sizzix Butterlies, Sizzix Top Note Die, 5/8 White Satin Ribbon.

The inside sentiment says "A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous~Coco Chanel" ...like you

A birthday card for my father in law. I used the Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Set Elements of Time, Stampin' Up Set Wonderful Favorites, Spellbinders Classic Circle Set and Large Pinking Circles dies, Cuttlebug Houndstooth Embossing Folder, Stampin' Up Chocolate Chip and So Saffon cardstock.

This is for a co-workers wedding. All products are Stampin' Up. Basic Black, Whisper White and Going Gray cardstock and ink. Pearls from the Pretties Kit. This inside sentiment is from Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous new stamp set Just Thoughts, " Enjoy the Journey".

This card is for my daughter Jenna's birthday September 2nd. I used the stamps from Stampin' Up's Cheep Talk and A Little Birdie Told Me Set. The "Oh Snap!" stamp is from the Unity Stamp Companies August Kit of the Month Set. Stampin' Up Cardstock in Perfect Plem, Apricot Appeal, Old Olive and Whisper White, 5/8 inch White Satin Ribbon, Stampin' Up's scalloped edge punch, and Rangers Stickles, Lime Green, Lavender and Diamond.

One more to go....

I made this card because I was dying to use the Spellbinders new Pendent Die Fleur de Lis. I was slightly disappointed in how difficult it was to use. The die cut paper did not want to release from the die reluctantly. It took some work and swearing. But, nonetheless....here is the finished product. I used Stampin' Up new In Colors once again, Bermuda Bay, Soft Suede, and Whisper White cardstock and ink. Stamps from Stampin' Up, Three Little Words and En Francais. Ranger Stickles Aqua, and Cinnamon, Flowers are Close To My Heart.
Thank you for letting me share my new cards with you!! I will be back very soon, I promise.

I am making the most of my ONE day off this week...

HI everyone! I got up really early this morning and right away started on some cards for a few challenges that I wanted to participate in. I visit so many blogs that have such great fun challenges, I wish I could participate in all of them. Unfortunetly, there is this thing called work that I have to do!

This card is for the Simon Says Stamp Blog Challenge . We were asked to use green and yellow.

I was really trying hard to use current Stampin' Up products from our current catalog, BUT...I used the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder. After that, I used whatever I could, Rik Rak, unknown brads, Spellbinders. Here is a product list:

Cardstock: Glorious Green, Yoyo Yellow, Green Galore, Whisper White (Stampin' Up); Stamps: Oval All, Gallery, Friendly Words Stampin' Wheel ( Stampin' Up); Embossing Folder: Cuttlebug Swiss Dots; Die Cuts: Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic and Scalloped Rectangles; Ink: Glorious Green, Green Galore Ink & Marker (Stampin' Up); Brads & RicRak (unknown)

The next cards is my take on the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge

I usually don't make cards with cute images like so many of the gals that I admire. I am just not good at coloring with inks. After I got this all put together and I thought that the flowers and the paper looked so good together, I realized that my colored angel doesn't even match the rest of the card.....DRATS!

Again, I was trying to be 100% current Stampin' Up, but not thinking, I used the Martha Stewert lattice border punch. I was so close.

Cardstock: Sahara Sand, So Saffon, Whisper White ( Stampin' Up); Patterned Paper: Parisan Summer (Stampin' Up); Ink: Stazon Black, So Saffon, Watercolor Pencils, Yoyo Yellow Marker, Blush Blossoms (Stampin' Up); Die Cuts: Trio Flower Punc, (Stampin' Up); Lattice Border punch (Martha Stewert); Flowers: Accents & Elements ( Stampin' Up); Mat Pack Paper Piercing stencil; Stamps: If The Halo Fits, Yummy (SAB)

Thanks for taking a look today! Hopefully I will be back later with MORE CARDS!!! YAH!

One more thing....The new Technique Junkies April/May edition is AWESOME. There are really cool techniques in there. For more information on becoming a Technique Junkie, click here!
