I am off to CHA......Finally!!!

Good morning bloggers...
I am super excited. This afternoon I am leaving for my first Craft & Hobby Association Convention!!! I can't wait to take in all it has to offer!!!
I will take alot of pictures to share when I get back!!

For my last post for a few days, I wanted to share a card that I will be teaching when I get back.

I was able to pair up an awesome combination of Dreamweaver Stencils and Petticoat Parlor die cuts! Isn't that frame too darling?

The stencil uses was Dangling Heart (LM 272) from Dreamweaver Stencils and the frame I used is Blanche, from the Petticoat Parlor Decorative Frames collection. The sparkle is a bit of Stampendous multi-crystal glitter.

I threw on a ribbon, some BG patterned paper and off I went!

Thanks for taking a peek today.

I can't wait to share pictures when I get back!! Have a great weekend!

Dream Scheme Thursday...CHA Sneak Peeks...

We sure are excited to start sharing some of Dreamweaver Stencils new releases with you. With CHA only a bit over a week away, we decided it was time....

Oh my goodness, I fell in love with these two owls right away!! I think they are perfect in this simple frame, using the Double Glitter Technique.
Keep on the lookout for this stencil to soon be wildly popular with our Dream Team!

My next card isn't a sneak peek. This Beach Chair (LL329) stencil is available now. Click on the link for more information.

Using the Double Glitter Technique once again, I paired it up with some tropical papers that I picked up at Island Paperie in Maui and it brought back lots of memories of lazy days by the beach...A nice thought when there has been snow on the ground for three months. hehe

That's all I have for you today. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a day full of blessings !!!!

A Pretty Little Card

Check out my Skipping Stones Design Sketch Tuesday post ~*~HERE~*~

Hi there!!

Just popping back in to show a card I made for a few more challenges as well as to showcase some new products that I received from Elizabeth Crafts Designs!!!

Here is my card....

Awww... I love those birds kissing!!

Now for those sweet Elizabeth Crafts Designs products...

I used the darling Birds Peel-Off's sticker on the Be Creative Sheets (11x8) . These sheets are sticky on both sides, so I removed the top layer and stuck my bird sticker, on the sticky sheet. I then used Glitter Ritz Light Gold, Cool Highlights and Pink on all of the sticky areas left inside the sticker. I love the Microfine glitters because they are so controllable. They don't fly everywhere, unless dropped of course.

I will be posting more cool stuff from Elizabeth crafts soon!!

Here is a list of other supplies I used:

Card Stock: Brushed Gold (Stampin' Up); Pink Shimmer (Island Paperie); Pearl (Coordinations)
Stamps: Love Notes (Verve)
Ink: Distress Embossing Ink (Ranger)
Embossing Powder: Gold (Stampendous)
Embossing Folders: Ironworks (Provo Craft)
Sticker: Bird Peel-Off's (Elizabeth Crafts Design)
Glitter: Light Gold, Cool Hightlight and Pink (Elizabeth Crafts Design

Dream Scheme Thursday!! My favorite day of the WEEK!!

Good morning! I love Thursdays because I get to see the awesome creativity that all of my Dreamweaver Design sisters have been up too and I get to share with you what I have been up too!!!

For our sketch challenge this week, I made a card with a very simple pasting technique that a beginner could perfect on their first day of stenciling. It is called the Sculpted Paste technique. It is very simple. Using Regular Embossing Paste, I layered the paste, so that when it was dry, I could color it and the layers of paste would have some depth and dimension.

I used the Horse (LM167) stencil. Once the paste was dry, I replaced the clean and dry stencil and colored it with Distress Inks, Brushed Corduroy, Frayed Burlap, and Walnut Stain.
I left the stencil in place and with a large sponge dauber, applied Palette Glue to the entire surface. Using a stencil brush and the stippling technique, I applied some Amber Glow Metallic FX to the top to give it a pretty shimmer (hard to see in the photo).

Here is picture of the color of Amber Glow

Here is the FAB sketch that we followed today by our DT coordinator Deborah March.

Sketch 2: Jan 13, by Deborah

A few other supplies that I used today...

Card Stock: Cream Confetti (unknown, from the stash); Crumb Cake (Stampin' Up)
Stencil: Horse LM 167 (Dreamweavers Stencils)
Stamps: Amazing Wishes (Verve)
Ink: Distress Walnut Stain, Frayed Burlap, Brushed Corduroy (Ranger)
Mica Powder: Metallic FX Amber Glow (Dreamweaver)
Extras: crimper (Fiskars); Twine (The Twinery); Button (TH Ideaology, Ranger)

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Please visit the entire Dreamweaver design team to be inspired!!

Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger

I made another cards today...weird huh? I was able to participate in a challenge that I can't remember the last time I got to enter, Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger.

Here is my card...

I got a new product from Elizabeth Crafts, 2 Sticky Peel-Offs . They are double sided sticky stickers. Click on the link and see all the different styles and shapes they have.
Here I adhered each little circle and then smothered it in glitter, I just repeated the last step until I was satisfied. I then took an outline of a flower sticker and glittered it in gold, then I replaced all the flower centers and glittered them as well.
I am happy with the result.

Here is the Tuesday Trigger....

If you have a few minutes and you are inspired by this photo....jump in and submit your entries!! See you all tomorrow for Dream Scheme Dream weavers Thursday!!

Have a great night!
