Finally .....Posted

Hi everyone...as the saying goes....better late than never, right!

I have been taking it REAL easy yesterday and the first part of today and not by choice. I had a great weekend with family and I think I might have given too many kisses and taken sips out of too many little one's drinks. Now I have a griping cough, a stellar headache and a fever equivalent to being right in the fire. My only saving grace this week is that I had stenciled the image on the card at a card class last week, when I was demonstrating the double glitter technqiue.

One thing I should have mentioned right away, is this week we are putting our own renditions to Terrece's (Dream Team Sister), sketch. You will see it below.

Sketch 3: Feb 24, by <span class=

Thanks Terrece for a good one. I am so thankful that your sketch sort of went with that I had to work with!!!

This is short and sweet today!! Please check out what the other Dream Teamers are up to today... Dream It Up

Check out what my Design Sisters & I are up to today....

Hi there!! If you stopped by on your way through the Virtual Valentine's Day Blog Hop, please CLICK HERE

If you stopped by for some Thursday Dream Scheme's with the Dreamweaver Stencil Design Team, then your in the right place!!

This week I was busy, busy making Dreamweaver Stencils cards with our new release stencils. I had a great time using our new Plaid stencil (LX7002) and metallic pastes!!

Once this background was dry....I couldn't help but think of Father's Day....

It was fun to pull out the Metallic Copper Embossing Paste. It has been awhile. I missed you Copper.

Here is another card that I made, just because I was in the mood to fight with my Birdcage Stencil (LL3012). I have had trouble pasting my Birdcage stencil at the bottom. There is a thin line at the bottom, that I can't seem to master. This certain day, the stars where aligned. It went very smoothly (pun intended)!!
I pasted with Gold Metallic Embossing Paste on Bazzill Acetate....Match made in HEAVEN!!!

Take the time to see what the other Dream Teamers have in store today...

Have a super day!!! Come back again soon!!!

Here is my Valentine project...

Today I used MercArt's fantastic products to make this darling little goodie box!! I started by using Dreamweaver Stencil LL567, Heart Swirls. Obviously for the reason, I chose MercArts, red aluminum sheets, and a paper stomp to "push" the stencil through the aluminum. With the MercArt beginner tool kit, I finished embossing the image. I used the great border decorative wheel from the beginner kit around the heart and around the outside of the aluminum. Once I was all done with my embossing, I chose a sanding file and started sanding on the top to remove the red off to expose the silver of the aluminum underneath. This is such a fun technique and doesn't hardly take any time at all!! Check out all the awesome products for MercArt HERE.

Now...carrying on with the hop, you will want to see the fabulous stylings of one of my most favorite people, Lynell Harlow at Dream It Up!! Lynell is the owner and stencil extraordinaire of Dreamweaver Stencils. I am lucky to call her my friend...get ready to have your Uggs knocked off!!

If you are just here to see the fabulous Dreamweaver Stencil Dream Team, here is list of their blogs...

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! I hope you have a fabulous Valentine's Day!! Good luck on winning the goodies!!!

Pink & Brown Dream Scheme Thursday!!

Good morning!!! You picked a super day to stop by my blog!! Today our challenge to you is to make a card using pink & brown!! Using Dreamweaver Stencils isn't required, but if you got em' we would love to see em'!!

Today I used two of the our BRAND NEW STENCILS, that were just released at CHA!
The two stencils I used are Bird Words (LG734) and Bird Cage (LL3012).

Today I simply pasted all the images with Pearlescent Embossing Paste and while it was still wet, I sprinkled Pink Ultra Fine glitter from Stampendous. Finished it off with some beautiful Perfect Pearls from Ranger....

Yesterday I received the most flattering phone call.
A gal called and told me that she has bought all of the cards that I had for sale at a local retail store. She said she was out of birthday cards and needed a card before 5pm last evening for her daughters 18th birthday. I couldn't say no.

Here it is....
The stencil is Dreamweavers (Happy Birthday LM 239), and the Butterfly Peel-Off is a sticker from Elizabeth Crafts that I glittered and adhered to double sided paper. Pretty huh?

Check out what the other Dreamweaver Dream Team members have been up too this week and how they answered the Pink & Brown challenge....

I hope you have a great day!! Stop by again soon!!!

Dreamweaver CASE Study

Hi there!!! A few weeks ago, I ran across a really interesting challenge blog called CASE Study.
Each month they pick a MUSE and that MUSE designs a card that all the participants CASE (I am not sure what that acronym says, but I know that CASE is to make your own rendition of someones original project). This months MUSE is Eva Dobilas. You can see her card HERE.

This is the first chance that I have had to play along.
While at CHA, my Dreamweaver Stencil Design sisters inspired me to no end. I was so torn, I didn't want to leave CHA, but on the other hand couldn't wait to get home to start creating.

This card was inspired by a pasting demonstration by Laura Drahozal and Lynell Harlow. They simply pasted the new Damask Stencil (LX7001) with Glossy Red Embossing Paste and while the gloss was still wet, sprinkled micro fine Jewel Glitz Deep Purple Glitter (by Elizabeth Crafts) over the top. Once it was dry, shake off the excess, and then with a stiff bristled brush or I used my pasting palette knife, scrap off even more glitter. This is so the red glossy paste can peek through the glitter. If you look closely at the photo, you can see the edges of the damask are red.

Around the edge of the card, I used the same LX 7001 Damask Stencil, and stenciled red pigment ink through it, from there I used the Stampee Crafts Holographic foil and Stuck On You Bonding Powder. If you look closely again, you can see some holographic design. In person, you can see the holographic around the entire edge.

Here are the supplies used to make my card:

Card Stock: White Daisy (CTMH), Purple Shimmer (Wausau)
Embossing Paste: Glossy Red, Transparent Paste (Dreamweaver Stencils)
Glitter: Micro Fine Deep Purple Jewel Glitz Ritz (Elizabeth Crafts)
Stamps: Love Notes (Verve)
Ink: Whisper White Craft Ink (Stampin' Up)
Extras: Punch (Stampin' Up), Detail Embossing Powder (Stampendous), Rhinestones (craft supply), satin ribbon (Stampin' Up), holographic foils (Stampee Crafts)

Thanks so much for taking a peek today. I hope you will have time to play along with the CASE Study challenge.

Have a suppa DAY!!

Back on Track....Dreamweaver Stencils Dream Scheme Thursday!!

Good morning friends!!! Welcome to Dream Scheme Thursday with the Dreamweaver Stencil's Design Team!!!
I returned from CHA! I got to meet most of my favorite bloggers, the Dreamweaver Stencil's Dream Team!!! I came home soooo inspired.... I couldn't wait to get started on the new techniques I learned while in Los Angeles!!!

Today I have three cards to share with you. I used the same design on each card, as well as the same stencil but three different techniques. I was able to grab a few new products while at CHA, which I will be using in my techniques.

Here are the cards....

I met an amazing lady at CHA, Julie Makela!! The Australian Stencil Specialists. She showed us an amazing technique using some new products from Stampee Crafts.

On this card, I used green and blue metallic foils on the Peacock Feather (LL437) stencil and one of the newest releases from Dreamweaver Stencils, Bird Words (LG 734). This technique is sooo simple. Soap the back of your stencil (with the amazing coconut soap from Hawaii, so it won't stick to the paper) and place the stencil, soap side down on the JAC Double sided sticky paper from Dreamweaver. Then place a piece of the metallic foil over the stencil. Using a stylus, push the Stampee Crafts foil through the stencil onto the sticky surface. Once you you pull away the foil, where you rubbed over it with the stylus, you will see foil in those areas. Once you have applied foil everywhere you desire, I placed black flocking on the stencil and rubbed it in with my fingers over the open, still sticky areas. The flocking will mainly be around the edges of the Stampee Crafts foil. Once you have flock in all of your desires areas, put the stencil down on your table surface and pull your sticky paper off the stencil. This is so you don't bend you stencil. Once your sticky paper is off your stencil, waterfall a multi-crystal transparent glitter over the rest of the surface.
Here is what mine looked like... It is hard to see the pretty shimmer of the metallic foils in this photo....Imagine it looking fabulous in person!!! (*wink, wink*)

At CHA, I was introduced to a technique that I have seen for many years, but never put two and two together.....Using colored aluminum sheets, edging tools and laminated green shell from MercArt....

I used all the cool MercArt tools and dry embossed the aluminum through my stencil the old fashioned way. You could do this with a dry embossing machine. I was just following the fun technique I was taught! After I pushed the aluminum through my stencil, I then sanded the raised area, I then punched a hole in the center of the Peacock feather and added a bit of green shell.

Last but not least......Stampee Crafts holographic foils with the wonderful Peacock Feather and Bird Words Stencil. This is another technique taught by Julie Makayla. For this technique, place your stencil on your paper where you choose. Color in your stencil with any pigment ink. Once you get the desired coverage, remove your stencils and sprinkle Stuck On You on the inked area, melt with your heat gun. It is not a time sensitive product. You can let Stuck On You dry and it will still work. After you have melted Stuck On You over the image, place your holographic film on you image, place it in between a piece of copy paper and run through a laminator, or you can iron, if you have a REALLY hot iron. We found that using a laminator gave the best result.
As soon as I got home from CHA, I went on the hunt for an inexpensive laminator. I found a great Purple Cow laminator at Costco for $18.99.

Here is my card using the Stampee Crafts holographic foils....

Here is another view so you can see the iridescent shimmer.

Thanks for hanging in there for this really long post!! Check out what the rest of our amazing Dream Team and see what they have for you today....

Have a great day!! See you again soon!!
